Start with the actual unit
A similar-looking system is not enough. The planned workflow begins with a readable equipment label and a model number you confirm. Selected Trane and Daikin residential and light-commercial equipment families are our starting point.
Keep indoor and outdoor equipment separate. A family-level document should be labeled as a reference until you verify that it applies to the unit in front of you.
Talk through what you found
Capture the customer’s complaint, when it happens and what you observed. The planned voice workflow lets you describe the call, then review the transcript before it becomes part of the record.
“Not cooling” leaves a lot unanswered. “The customer reports weak cooling since yesterday; I have not measured system performance yet” gives the next person a clearer starting point.
See the source before the next check
DiagnosAir is being designed to put supporting service information beside the suggested question. Missing measurements should stay missing. A confident answer without the right equipment context is not a useful answer.
The technician remains responsible for deciding whether a procedure applies and following the manufacturer’s instructions.
